Mentoring Adelaide
Short Term Respite
Mentoring Adelaide offers Short-Term Respite (STR) supports customised to each participant's goals, preferences, and support needs. These planned respite supports provide a temporary change of environment while continuing to promote personal development, independence, and well-being.
We provide Short-Term Respite with support ratios of 1:1, 1:2, 1:3, or 1:4, depending on what is funded in the participant’s NDIS plan and what is practically suitable to ensure safe and effective support.
Our Short-Term Respite supports may include:
-
A structured break from daily routines
-
Capacity building and skill development to support independence
-
Opportunities for social connection and community participation
-
Planned time for families and informal supports to rest and recharge
We take a flexible and collaborative approach to how and where Short-Term Respite is provided. We work closely with participants, families, support coordinators, and other members of the participant’s support network to ensure that supports are safe, meaningful, goal-focused, and well-planned.
