About Mentoring Adelaide

Mentoring Adelaide is a family-owned and operated service provider that has been offering mentoring and personalised support services since 2018. We assist NDIS participants across Adelaide, Victor Harbor, and the Fleurieu Peninsula.

Our service was created to provide inclusive, innovative, and strengths-based support for people living with disability. We are dedicated to working in partnership with participants and their families to support individual goals, build capacity, and promote independence, confidence, and community engagement.

We offer person-centred, one-on-one support tailored to each participant’s needs, interests, and abilities. Our mentors employ creative and engaging methods, including experiential learning, active participation, and learning through play, to foster skill development in a way that is both meaningful and enjoyable for the participant.

At Mentoring Adelaide, we understand that each participant progresses at their own pace. We offer flexible, responsive support that promotes choice and control while encouraging participants to safely explore new experiences, develop life skills, and increase their independence. Our focus is on providing high-quality supports that align with NDIS goals and help participants achieve positive, sustainable outcomes.

Mentoring in Adelaide is primarily focused on the participant. We collaborate with each person to find a mentor with the right skills who can support them in developing their skills and working towards their personal NDIS goals.

We provide personalised programs of support that are flexible, strengths-based, and tailored to each participant’s needs, interests, and abilities. Supports can be adapted to foster inclusion, meaningful engagement, and greater independence, while honouring participant choice and control.

As a baseline, we offer a range of supports, including:

  • 1:1 Mentoring

  • Life skills and social skills development (individual or group-based)

  • Community access and participation in local and rural activities

  • Short Term Respite (STR) supports tailored to participant goals

All services can be provided on a one-to-one basis upon request. Our supports are designed to align with NDIS Practice Standards, promote capacity building, and help participants achieve positive and sustainable outcomes.
